for Merit in the Defence of the Motherland (type 1) |

 Established
on 8 February 1955 by Government Decree. This is the first
type with letters CSR and pre-socialist State emblem on reverse
(lion without star). Type 2 was issued after 1960 with the
letters CSSR on avers with lion and red star on reverse).
With docuiment issued to lieutenant Antonin Dlask on 9 May
1956 it is made of 900 proof silver (Zukov manufactured) with
suspension pin.
