For
Service to the Motherland in the Armed Forces of the USSR 3rd Class | |
Established
28 October 1974 at the instigation of Leonid Ijich Brezhnev
who wanted to see a new order (opulent at that) to be added
to the Soviet award system. About 70.000 were issued (only
13 first class and 600 2nd class), nick-named "crab",
about 2 ounzes of silver, constructed of four parts. In very
good condition but with minor traces of wear - as opposed
to a non-issued piece (no. 98.283) but without document. I
also have one with number 126.655,
also without document but with minor traces of wear as opposed
to a non-issued piece.
