The jubilee Medal "30 Years of the Soviet Army and Navy" (
Þáèëåéíàÿ ìåäàëü «30 ëåò Ñîâåòñêîé Àðìèè è Ôëîòà»;
Yubilejnaja medal «30 let Sovetskoj Armii i Flota») was issued to all 3.7 million who served in the military of the Soviet Union 23 February 1948. By 1995 there were two variations (with flat or round
ring). Until 5 February 1951 awards had to be returned upon
death.
This variation 2 with a round ring and a suspension from aluminium,
with no botton visible on the strip of Stalin's uniform. No.
letters LMD on the reverse of the ring.
Variation 1 had flat ring and a suspension from a heavy metal.
