 Established
on 22 December 1942 with some 760.000 issued. Made of brass,
this is the first variation and has a soldered ring and heavy
metal hanger made of two layers. Variation 2 has a round ring
part of the medal with an aluminium suspension.
Exceptionally there can be a number stamped on the reverse
but its very rare.
