Liberation
of Prague Medal | |
Established
on 9 June 1945 and awarded to servicemen who participated
in the liberation of Prague (9 May 1945). 88 servicemen were
also awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union in this - one of
the last battles of WWII. Made of Brass, in three variations
(this one has a u-shaped ring, variation 1 had a soldered
ring and variation 3 a round ring which was also part of the
medal). Approximately 395.000 were issued.
