Liberation
of Prague Medal | |
Established
on 9 June 1945 and awarded to servicemen who participated
in the liberation of Prague (9 May 1945). The liberation of
Prague was one of the last battles of WWII in which 88 persons
were also awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union. Its made of
Brass, in three variations (this one has a round ring aprt
of the medal, variation 1 had a soldered ring and variation
2 has a u-shaped ring which was also part of the medal). Approximately
395.000 were issued.
