Instituted
on 6.4.1930 with some 4 million issued. This is the type 3 variation
1 with sharp edges (variation 2 had round tips of star) in number
range 242653-608416. Like with var. 2 the bajonet points between
the letters so (with variations 3&4 it pointed between the
letters o&e). In excellent condition with a fine patina.
It's number 512361 dates it to 1942 (so called Monetny Dvor,
flat star edges, no screwpost base). I got it from a collector
in Odessa, it is one of my lowest Red Star numbers.
