Of
the Patriotic War 1st Class | |
Established
20 May 1942 and awarded to enlisted men and officers irrespective
of rank for skillful command of their units in action (altogether
some 344.000 issued). Excellent condition of enamel, low serial
number (14362) with craftsman's mark on reverse. This is the
earliest very rare type variation 3 (the first had no ring between
suspension and medal and type 2 had a safetening pin on reverse).
It was issued sometime in 1943 but I have no document. Notice
special mark on left reverse in form of "7". I have
several later "screw back" types - see my awards
for exchange page .
