Impeccable
condition nr. 155214. This is a type 3 variation 2, subvariation 1 which has Monetnij
Dvor stamped on reverse in one straight line small letters. Type 3 started production in 1943 in the Krasnokamski Mint (KMD) made in the 50s by the ÌÌÄ. It is 41.5mm high and 38mm accross. Type 3 variation lowest number was 77483, highest 84168. Variation 1, also known as the "Swallows tail" or the "Swallow", had the words Monetnii Dvor stamped with two separate stamps with the word Monetnii slightly curved. The ring was soldered and cut into body of the medal (earlier types were screwback). Variation 2 was made in 1945-46 and was numbered between 84259 to 136812 ands its reverse side is not flat but rather copies the avers. There are two subvariations dsitinguished by the shape of the stamp. Subvariation 1 had the word "Monetnii" bent and smaller than "Dvor" with a number range of 84.000 - 125.000. Subvariation 2 had both words the same size in number ranges of 87.000, 98.000 - 105.000 and 118.000 - 136.000. Variations 3, 4, 5 and 6 also differed by number range and type of stamp.
