Red
Star | |
Excellent
condition with fina patina. Note hammer and sickel situated
lower than in other variations, with some enamel between it
and the centre emblem. It is part of a beautiful documented
set consisting of the Order
of Alexander Nevsky Type 3 (no. 22910), another Red Star
(no. 82149 from 1942 Type 2 Var. 3), 1943 issue Patriotic War
1st Class (no. 230802 type 2 Var. 1), Red Banner (no. 153491
Type 3 Var.1) and two silver medals for Combat Service (nos.
478557 and 2830717). The no. 2977218 dates it to the early 50s but the award document
(1945 issue Goznak) is dated 25 June 1946. This award is the
last entry with a different ink and was evidently added later.
The document is complete with a photograph of Mark Danilovich
Zaichenko, an officer of the 8th Gvardia Army. See also Award
Group 1.
