  Order of Lenin

Order of Lenin (Орден Ленина, Orden Lenina). The Order of Lenin was established by Presidium of the USSR Central Executive Committee on April 6, 1930.
The Order of Lenin was the highest civil decoration. Given to both civilians and soldiers for outstanding service to the motherland in defence, strengthening peace and strengthening labour. From 1930-1934 made of silver, 1934-1936 made of gold and from 1936-1991 made of platinum. A total of 462,184 were awarded.

It is made of 31 gram (appr. 1 oz.) of 0.900 gold and beautiful hot enamel work. Lenin's head is made out of 3.5 gram of pure platinum. The order was designed by Russian artists Kupriyanov and Vasyutinsky. The Order of Lenin is the USSR's highest award. It is conferred on people for outstanding services to the revolutionary movement, outstanding achievements in labor activity, distinguish service in defense of the Homeland.

This award is in good condition, awarded on 7 February 1951 but I have my doubts whether the award booklet is not forged - see for yourself.  In any case the bearer looks like a typical working class hero.
