Hello: I have bought in Yerevan two medals, one is the Order of the Badge of Honor (concave revers) and the other one is the Order of Labor Glory (3RD CLASS). it's possible to know the year of grant and the recipient's name by the number engraved on the back?
badge of honor: 1349222
order of labor glory: 482583
thak you a lot

There are no public poblicatiosn with names for these orders. The problem is that such awards while all Soviet in nature, they were handed out in a decentralized way in the 15 Soviet republic and no centralized archive exists. Thus while theoretically possible to find out which number was awarded to whom, it is very difficult.

Hello! I came across your website. I am very interested in Transnistrian awards and medals, and have been trying to locate a book entitled State Awards of the Transdniestrian Moldovan Republic. There was a version printed in 2004, and I think a revised edition in 2010/2011. I wanted to inquire if you may know a source for this book - I have been searching without success for some time. Hope to hear from you soon and appreciate your time.

Do you know the dealer revolt.net on Ebay? I have been wanting to buy from him. I might also be willing to buy from you too. Let me know at your convenience.

Hi there - love you website, but I have a question - can you look at the Russian(?) medal on the website below, and tell me who issued it, and for what? Of all the medals my great-grandfather was awarded for service, that is the one I can not find anything about. The letters look cryillic / Russian, but in looking I have not seen it anywhere - any ideas? It looks like the number 18523 is in the center. My GG is Maj. Gen. Edward Mann Lewis, commander of the 30th Infantry in WWI - they were responsible for breaking the Hindenberg line (I have a commendation letter from Gen. Pershing attesting to that fact) - maybe that will help. The picture of the medal and badge are on his Ancestry.com website: http://trees.ancestry.com/view/Military.aspx?tid=18782532&pid=18002453130&vid=6cc0a1fa-19c4-4d6d-88bd-2ae669b9519d&mrgIgn=1&pt=1&pg=32768&pgPL=pid

Scrool to the bottom and you will see it - I have a better image to look at if you email me back

Thanks!

Hello,

On the site http://www.russianglory.com/soviet_orders.htm , a 1985 variation of the Order of the Red Banner, II class, is currently on sale for $15. Do you think it is a fake, or it it simply a typo? Seems kind of cheap for an order that is in such fair condition.

Many thanks!

Hello,
I have been using your site for a while as a reference for my collection (in fact I started it after I found your detailled review). I have noticed that you have orders of the patriotic war 1st class for exchange or sale. After checking in your wishing-list, I have nothing to offer you except money... I am really interested in getting one 1st class PWO to enrich my collection. So if you accept to sell me one, I would be really glad to buy it from you.
Best Regards
Christophe (fellow humble collector from France)

I recently came across 35 Soviet pins, a red velvet Soviet banner with the image of Lenin, a large Soviet flag and a small Soviet flag. I want to sell these items. I have no idea of there value or authenticity. I can send pictures and answer any questions to help you decide. Please email me if interested.

Ok, lets see what you have! oa
